ChemiTek, a company that is part of the Startup Braga community, has just opened its new production unit in Esposende. In total, the new unit has 500 m2 and a production capacity of 10 tons/day.

With this new infrastructure, ChemiTeK increases its production capacity thus reinforcing its response to the increase in demand and preparing the company for growth in the solar panels market in Europe and Asia. At the same time, the startup also foresees the reinforcement of its team.

This startup develops revolutionary solutions for the removal of debris and protection against dirt from solar panels and glass. By applying its products to the surfaces, ChemiTek ensures that they are cleaned for longer.

With 70 thousand solar panels to be installed every hour around the world, César Martins, Executive Director of ChemiTek, believes that ChemiTek's value proposal will be a great ally when it comes to guaranteeing the salubrity of these energy-producing surfaces, reducing energy losses caused by dirt in the solar park.

Currently, the company has in the "Solar Wash Protect" (concentrated product that dilutes in water to wash and protect the solar panels) and in the industrial "Glass Protect" (product for application in the solar glass, which offers a hydrophobicity to all types of debris and reduces the reflection of light), its great assets.

It should be recalled that ChemiTek closed last July an investment round, which allowed the capture of 800 thousand euros of investment - led by Portugal Ventures, with the investment fund SBS - Investments in Startups, BrainCapital and Nelp Five. ChemiTek is now preparing to mark its presence in WebSummit to present its products and strengthen its network of partners.
