After three years, Empreender@Braga is back and more ready than ever to shake up the entrepreneurship scene! The meeting point where the past meets the future and new opportunities are just around the corner is waiting for you. This year, the program returns with new features — young members of Braga’s youth associations can also join Empreender@Braga!

The Ignition Program for Entrepreneurs and Youth Associations, promoted by the Municipality of Braga, InvestBraga, Startup Braga, and the Braga Youth Centre, is designed to foster the development of new businesses and empower youth organizations in an inclusive and dynamic environment based on knowledge exchange.

With access to practical workshops, specialized mentorship, and networking sessions, you'll have all the tools necessary to boost your ideas. No matter your starting point, here you'll find the ideal support to grow! 

Who can participate?

Empreender@Braga was thought and structured for:

1. Entrepreneurs seeking to validate business ideas;
2. Members of youth associations seeking to build a sustainable business model.

Which business areas are admitted in Empreender@Braga program?

When it comes to entrepreneurs seeking to validate business ideas, the program essentially focuses on business areas associated with Biotechnology, Digital Economy, Mobility, Sustainability, Health Technologies and Tourism. These business areas derive not only from Braga's specialization strategy as an innovation and entrepreneurship hub, but also from some priority axes in the local development strategy. In any case, suggestions are welcome.

When it comes to members of youth associations seeking to build a sustainable business model, the program essentially focuses on the business model areas associated with Culture, Climate Change, Sustainability, Sports, Mobility, Active Participation, Citizenship, Advocacy and Volunteering. Likewise, other suggestions are accepted.

What is the application period?

The application to Empreender@Braga will be made by filling in this form, until November 11th.

Bootcamps

During the program, which runs from November 18th to December 16th, bootcamps will be held where different topics associated with entrepreneurship will be covered:

• Kick Off: Creativity and Innovation — November 18th
• Business Models — November 20th
• Product Development and Management / Projects and Events — November 25th
• Management and Operations / Governance and Sustainability — November 28th
• Communication, Marketing, Brand Responsibility and Sales — December 2nd
• Fundraising and Investment — December 4th and 5th*
• Pitching and Feedback — December 11th

The culmination of the programme will be the DEMO DAY, on December 16th, which will include the presentation and evaluation of the selected projects.

*Exceptionally, the fifth bootcamp — Fundraising and Investments — will be divided into two days: for Youth Associations (04/12) and for Entrepreneurs (05/12).

Please note that the program will be conducted in person and will be entirely in Portuguese.
